PIIIIORIIIIIII , jfs ,N The purposes of a school news- paper are to inform the students of past and upcoming school X events, to allow the students to bi express their opinions, and to en- ,-' Gp tertain its readers. This year the 'YYQC PanoRama attempted to fulfill these obligations toward its read- ers. The staff covered all major events, such as homecoming ceremonies, sports interviews, and club news by way of write-ups and photographs. Each member of the staff contributed a part of his talent, whether his talent was in writing, editing, photography, layout, bookkeeping, drawing, or typing. This year has marked an ad- vancement in the PanoRama, as it expanded to include elementary and middle school news as well as high school news. The members of the PanoRama learned many things by trial and error about journalism as they worked in an effort to produce an outstanding newspaper. 9-.a .il 3, ,ip ,-f fJfrmg' kc 'V ll 'If F5 N1 -if we ter -E PanoRama: left to right- Andrew Beverley, Photo- graphic Editor, Tommy Cooper, Sports Editor, John Varnedore, Business Manager, Kurt Johnston, Fea- ture Editor, Cindy Jennings, Assistant Editor, Lisa Godwin, Editor-in-chief, Mrs. Bogard, Sponsor, back row - Steve Boling, Donna Johnson, Lisa Harrison, Jerry Caroom, Greg Spakes, Marie Steinbrenner, Kim Stanage, Bill McDonnell, Julie Maeder, Greg Wa- termann, Yvette Sanderson. top - Mrs. Bogard and the PanoRama staff put their headstogether to come up with unique ideas for the paper. middle left - Editor Lisa Godwin 'rushes to meet deadlines. middle center - Greg Spakes and classmates view the PanoRama.
