Was: '- - - A RAHS The 1978 - 79 Varsity Cheerleaders have shown their belief in the Rams. During the school year they cheered for the various Lakeside teams, both girls and boys. To promote better school spirit and sportsmanship, the members made signs to decorate the halls and spon- sored football and basketball parties. The Varsity Cheerleaders worked hard even before school started. They went to a cheerleading camp at Jonesboro and earned numerous awards: five superior ribbons, a super star ribbon, the spirit stick, the first place trophy in their division, and the award of Excellence fthe highest award givenj. During the summer, they attended camp and won the home routine trophy and the overall trophy. The Golddusters spent many dedicated hours of practice in order to show their support of the various sports activities.
