Q The growing number of drama club Q members participated in such activi- ties as hosting Lakeside's speech tournament and producing a major play entitled The Madwoman of Chaillot. Within the Drama Club is a special - E organization, Lakeside's Thespian Troupe 2123. A thespian is a student who is interested in the dramatic and liberal arts. 1 The purpose of a thespian society is to ad- ' vance the standards of excellence in theater arts in the secondary schools and to honor those students who have done outstanding J work in school theater programs. The soci- L ety strives to widen the students' and com- munity's cultural horizons by stressing con- tinued participation in the arts.
