I 'N-4' Marsha Stillings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mar- tin Stillings, would have been a Lakeside senior this year. However, she has spent the year abroad studying in Germany as the representa- tive of the Lakeside Chapter of the American Field Service. The American Field Service is a club which promotes cultural exchanges by bringing a student from another country to attend Lakeside in order that they may learn of American customs. J The purpose of French Club is to extend an understanding and appre- ciation of the French culture beyond the classroom. As part of the culture, students learn about French cooking, family life, and political beliefs. These customs are explained through programs including music, films, speakers, a trip to New Orleans, and having dinner at Le Mirabelle, and local French restaurant. French Club also participates annually in a state French-speaking contest and festival at UALR.
