IIOIDECO I1 IIT5 The day began with the excitement of the morning ceremonies in a field house full of students, faculty, proud parents, and many other participants. The cere- monies consisted of the homecoming theme Over the Rainbow. The royalty and the students were urged to Look to the Rainbow in a song by Gilda, the Good Witch of the South. A scarecrow, a tin woods- man, a cowardly lion, and a couple of dramatic speak- ers became enthusiastic about the prospect of travel- ing over the rainbow. All were reminded of the impor- tance of using what we have learned in high school to make the future successful. Upon the introduction of the members of the royal- ty, a number of groups paid their tributes. Those offer- ing their displays of talent in honor of the royalty in- cluded the cheerleaders, band, chorus, madrigals, and several drama and speech students. All those at Lakeside should be filled with enthusias- tic anticipation of the future. As we look to the rainbow ahead, however, we should not forget to cast an occa- sional glance to the fond and fleeting memories of our past.
