On November 3rd, Lakeside met the Cabot Panthers and came away victorious. The first score of the game belonged to Lakeside QB Donny Reed, when he ran 87 yards for a touchdown. The two-point conversion failed. Cabot came back to score on a 40-yard pass. Cabot was moving the ball until they fumbled into the backfield, and Todd Grisham picked it up and ran 35 yards for a touchdown. By the end of the half, Lakeside was ahead 20-6. Lakeside went on to win by a score of 28-28. The Rams started their 1978 season with a loss, but ended with a victory. This goes to show that time and time again, A RAM NEVER QUITS! etc? 17
