A teacher is a mem- g ber of the faculty whose ,goal is to pro- vide a superior edu- j cation for the stu- dents. A teacher is molding his stu- dents' characters by providing the initia- Math i tive? to reach high goals and to develop worthwhile ideals. - Much of a teacher's work is done behind the scenes -- preparing the next day's lessons, grading mountains of papers, and being in- volved in, numerous school activities. A teacher must learn to laugh at himself, espe- cially when he makes a mistake. For genera- tions, students have had the misconception that a teacher is a sort of intellectual robot who knows all answers to all questions., How- ever, this is not at all true. A teacher has a sense of humor. and makes mistakes, just as everyone else does. , c Willie Hooks What is a teacher?
