The girls' track team, back in action for the first time since the 50's, won the district SAAA championship. They set seven district records with 91 points. Krystal Kuyper scored 26 points and received an award for high point in the meet. The Senior 440 relay tearr placed 2nd in district and 5th in state. Sam Sanders placed 2nd in district in the mile run. Dale Mor- gan placed 3rd in the mile run and 2nd in the 2-mile run in district competition. Bill Burgess placed 3rd in the 220 in the district and broke a school record in the pre- liminaries. The old record of 23 seconds was set in 1966, Bill's time was 22.8. During the season the senior team placed second in Mal- vern Relays, fourth in district and held two meets at home. The Junior High track team placed 5th in district. The Jr. Mile Relay Team placed second in the district and Scotty Caroom won the district pole vault while setting a new junior high district record with a vault of ll'6 .
