To com- pete in high school competition, the swim team must have a sponsor, Coach Wilf. The team swims at the YMCA in AAU competition. They attended the high school state compe- tition at UALR. They practiced on their own time.

The Junior High Gymnastics Team was undefeated dur- ing the 77-78 season. Wins included: Southwest Jr. High, College Hill, North Heights, Bauxite QLakeside winning all the ribbons 1-5 placesj, Arkadelphia CLakeside winning first 5 places in every eventj, Dumas, Fordyce. On April 6 and 7 Lakeside hosted the district 7 gymnastics meet. Lakeside defeated 9 teams in the state to win the District 7 Meet.
