The theme for this year's Basketball Homecoming was The Way We Were, which was chosen in honor of Lakeside's 50th anniversary. A group of Speech students g Brigitte Brady Rebecca Griffin, Kurt Johnston. Julie Maeder. John Gillham and Steve Scoggins entertained the royalty' and audience by depicting their version of The Way' We Vveref' Their version was a pantomine of various dolls and toys that came to life. Their performance was both realistic and enjoyable. The cheerleaders honored the royalty by performing a number of cheers including a special cheer to Cindy Gaither and Tracie Parker who are senior cheerleaders and members of the royalty. The varsity cheerleaders also kept everyone laughing at their version of how the royalty' was ten years ago. The freshmen cheerleaders provided a cheer to commemorate the royalty.
