The Christmas Tea is for the FHA members and mothers and was held at the H.S. Country Club. Members sold Stanley products, worked in football conces- sions and sold cookbooks as their main money-making projects. The girls and Mrs. T planned several noon luncheons and the annual mother-daughter banquet. Each year the FHA orga- nizes and sponsors a dance for the Middle School and other party activities. An evening dinner was held at John Barleycornis Visions in Little Rock early in the spring. The FHA has at- tended the state convention and a federation meeting at the convention auditorium. Spanish Club - The purpose of the Spanish Club is to provide an opportunity for the students taking Spanish courses to study the language, people, and background of Spanish-speaking countries in a more enjoyable way than in the classroom. Among the most important things the Spanish Club has accomplished: participating in the Arkansas Teachers' Foreign Language Festival in Little Rock, supporting a child through the Christians' Children Fund, participating in the American Field Service Carnival and Variety Show, and meeting at members' homes for a potluck supper and games.
