MICHELLE FORSHBERG was Student Council Reporter and Treasurer and served as Business Manager for the Annual Staff. She was in the football homecoming royalty, Future Homemakers, Drama Club, and American Field Service. She was selected to Bel Cantos and belonged to Future Business Leaders. She was a member of Quill and Scroll and was an office worker. Michelle plans to attend University of Arkansas ma- joring in elementary education. ZZ CINDY GAITHER is a member of Na- tional Honor Society and served as cheer- leader for four years. She was Beta Club President and Student Council Secretary. She served as class secretary in her fresh- man, sophomore and junior years. She was on the annual staff and received the Opti- mist Club Youth Appreciation Award. She was selected to Who's Who Among High School Students and was a member of Quill and Scroll. She was basketball homecoming queen and belonged to Future Business Leaders and Drama Club. Cindy plans to attend the University of Arkansas to major in pre-pharmacy. GARY GIBSON was National Honor So- ciety Vice President and was an ROTC Of- ficer. He served as Treasurer for both Dra- ma Club and Thespians and had a role in The Matchmaker. He belonged to American Field Service and was selected as a Junior Rotarian. He was sports editor of the annual staff and served on the Panora- ma Staffg he also belonged to the Spanish Club. Gary plans to major in chemistry at the University of Central Arkansas. REBECCA GRIFFIN served as Golddus- ter Corporal and Madrigals Co-Leader. She was active in both Thespians and Drama Club and had roles in The Matchmaker, and Life with Father. She achieved Who's Who in Music and Who's Who Among High School Students. She was treasurer of freshman, sophomore, and ju- nior class and Vice President of the Senior Class. She was FHA 3rd Vice President and AFS Treasurer. She belonged to Spanish Club and was a freshman cheerleader co- captain. She was on the Speech Team, an AFS Candidate and in the Variety Show. She plans to major in music at Memphis State University.

Who's Who In a balloting by teachers the week of April 3-7, twelve students were selected from the senior class to Lakeside's Who's Who. Teachers were given a ballot of Seniors having a 2.5 grade average or better along with a list of their activities and achievements. The ballot said, Please select twelve Seniors who show qualities of leadership, character, dependability and above all have dedicated themselves to making Lakeside 'a better place to be. ' The following seniors were selected for their dedication to Lakeside High School. is nnii o ,154 KELLY BERRYHILL is a member of Na- tional Honor Society and Beta Club and served this year as Lakeside's first Future Business Leaders of America President. She is a member of American Field Service, Fu- ture Teachers and served on the Grand Na- tional Bank Junior Board of Directors. She belongs to Spanish Club, Chorus and main- tained honor roll for four consecutive years. Kelly plans to attend Arkansas Tech major- ing in accounting. LEA BEVERLEY is a member of Madri- gals, Chorus las accompanistj, and achieved Who's Who in Music. She was active in Thespians and Drama Club appearing in The Matchmaker. She belonged to Fu- ture Teachers, Beta Club and National Honor Society. She was a member of American Field Service, Annual Staff, French Club and achieved honor roll status for four years. Lea plans to attend Trinity University to obtain a law degree and wants to go into politics. ROBBIE CARPENTER is a member of Spanish Club, American Field Service and served as National Honor Society Treasur- er. She was active in Thespians, Drama Club, was a member of the Speech Team and served as student director of The Matchmakerf' She was a member of Future Teachers, Panorama, and Quill and Scroll. She was a member of Madrigals and made all region and all state choir, Robbie plans to attend University of Arkansas at Monti- cello majoring in Industrial Management. 4-...A ' . He was active in Drama Club and Student Council and was a Junior Rotarian. Tom plans to attend Rice University majoring in mechanical engineering. 5

JOY JOHNSON was selected as Miss Teenage Hot Springs and to Girls' State. She belonged to National Honor Society and was Co-Leader of Madrigals. She made all region and all state choir and was vice president of Thespians. She served as presi- dent of American Field Service and was selected to Who's Who Among High School Students and Who's Who in Music. She was Junior Class President and received the DAR Award. She was a member ofthe play cast for three years and a member of Future Teachers. She belonged to Spanish Club, Beta Club and was a library assistant. She was on the Speech Team, Drama Club Vice President and a member of Chorus. Joy plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University majoring in music. LISA NORWOOD was Co-Editor of the annual and was selected to both all region and all state choir as well as being a member of Madrigals. She served as Thespian Secre- tary, FBLA Treasurer and belonged to Na- tional Honor Society and Beta Club. She was selected as a delegate to Washington Workshop Congressional Seminar and was a student council representative. She was student director of The Matchmaker and served as junior class vice president. She belonged to American Field Service, Future Teachers and was a member of the football homecoming royalty. She was active in Cho- rus, Library Club and Drama Club. Lisa plans to major in elementary education at John Brown University. +85 MELANIE PRINCE is a member of Na- tional Honor Society and was in the football homecoming royalty. She served as Future Teachers President and was active in both Drama Club and Thespians as well as being a member of the Speech Team. She was Beta Club Secretary, Bel Canto Leader, and a member of both Chorus and Madrigals, being selected to All Region Choir. She served on the Panorama Staff and was se- lected to Quill and Scroll. She belonged to Future Business Leaders and was in the Li- brary Club. She had a part in Our Town, Life with Father, and The Matchmak- er. Melanie plans to major in secretarial science. JIM ROLES was Student Council Presi- dent this year and was selected to Boys' State. He served as basketball manager and was ROTC Battalion Commander. He was Co-Editor of the annual and belonged to American Field Service. He was active in Drama Club and served as Stage Manager for The Matchmaker. He was selected as Junior Rotarian and achieved the status of Eagle Scout. Jim plans to major in electrical engineering at the University of Arkansas.
