SUCCESS AT STATE The Lakeridge girl's soccer team was a great success this season. Rated No. 1 in the state, the girls went on to win all of their league games and captured the district title. In the first playoff game, the Pacers came away with a victory over Churchhill with a score of 1-0. The second playoff game unfortunately, was a loss, with two overtimes and a shootoff that finally decided the outcome of the game with a final score of 1-0. All- staters were, Shelley McElroy and Colleen Smith. Voted all-leagures were Shelley McElroy, Colleen Smith, Beth Nacrelli, Melissa Othman, and Jill McGranahan. 1 Coach Marshall and team members have a serious talk at halftime 2. PACERS ON THE RUN The efforts of the 1981 Cross Country team were paid off at the district meet where the girls placed a strong second and the boys placed third. Sophomore runner Jennifer Jenkins excelled in many wins this year. She was a valuable runner although midway through the season she suffered from tendonidis.
