lt doesn't matter if it's by car, truck, bicycle, or foot,
the way a person gets to school says something about
him or her.
"l think what you drive is like a status symbol, it
says a lot about the kind of person you are," said
Leddy Anthony, senior.
On the other hand some people use their transpor-
tation as a means of enjoyment.
"I ride bikes for the fun and personal satisfaction I
get out of it," said Tim Moore, sophomore.
David Weaver, senior, picked his yellow GTO be-
cause "it had a good motor in it."
"It 's just in my blood - my daddy always had a hot
rod and his first hot rod was a GTO," he said.
"I didn't really pick it for the color ...I like the body
style," Weaver said.
Jeff Colvin, who prefers pick-ups, works on his own
vehicles and has previously raced at Wall.
"I have a dream about my '68 Chevy pick-up. My
dream is that it will run 10's in the quarter mile with
a 355 cubic inch small block Chevy with a four-speed
and a b1ower," Colvin said.
Whatever the reason, teenagers take a lot of pride
in what they drive. Pam Harvey
