— Freshmen — The freshman were in- volved in many activities. Some of the activities that the freshman participated were band, basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, fu- ture homemakers, football, journalism, school play, student councill, and the annual staff. Freshman student council representa- tives this year were Lisa Bratland and Steve Hasche. The main event was building a float for Home- coming. The freshman quoted “It’s great working with the class because you learn how to accomplish things.” The theme was “Movies”, and the fresh- man chose “Sudden Im- pact” for their float. Some of the highlights of the freshman year were: open campus, girls and boys basketball seasons, and their first year of Prom. One step closer to high school, the eighth grade students became more invovled than last year. They participated in “A” band, chorus and sports. The eighth grade also particpated in the Junior High Music Festival for Young Voices in Brookings. The eighth graders look forward to graduation and to next year when they become Freshmen.
