HAPPINESS IS. . BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS Five Senior girls completed their third and last year with the Diver Basketball squad in the fall of 1976. Tom Haggar and Lind Karban provid- ed the coaching skill for the varsity and junior varsity squads. Even though they were destined to finish second in tournament, conference and district play the Blue and Gold cagers compiled a successful 13-7 season. The close team spirit which developed between individual players made the losing easier and the winning more lasting. Besides the regular tea parties, individual birthday parties, flower night, parent night, team meetings, and role call the coaches and team had a basketball picnic on midcourt line to complete the season. Dressing and Roll Call for the BB Girls Divers on Defense The junior varsity girls in the Diver basketball program came out enthusiastic in 1976. Composed of seven sophomores and nine green freshmen the B squad worked hard all year under Coach Linda Karban. A hard schedule proved challanging for the younger Divers, but they never gave up and were always an inspiration to their team- mates on the A squad. Long and hard practices were often followed by short games and small locker rooms, but the Blue and Gold team found many opportunities for fun and learning during the 76 season.
