In the beginning, there was rock. Then someone invented the wheel, and things really began to roll! Under the direction of Mildred Furney, Patricia Anderson, Jane Wendell, and Nancy Carmody, the Lake Preston play cast presented ROCK-N-ROLL. Having great musical talent in the school, it was decided to put on a musical, which was a great success. As the story opens, Johnny Saphire was the single attraction on the spot-lit stage. Backed up by the pit band, he sang the opening song to throw open the curtains and get the show on the road. Corndoggie tries to fortell the future and gets himself messed up. After getting a date with Betsy Lou, the campus queen, to the Prom, he has a dream of a car accident that was going to happen on the way home. Everything finally worked out after Darlene and Bumpers tell Betsy Lou that everything that Corndoggie dreams comes true sooner or later. After many unannounced love affairs, everyone gathers down at Pop's Pop Shop for the GRAND FINALE. The last song is sung by Da Wheels, the jocks, the rally girls, the twins, Mannfred, Duffy, Louise, and Bumpers . The refrain, sung by Betsy Lou and Corndoggie, brings a fantastic climax to the musical.

Even though the weather was cool, palm trees stood in the LPHS gym on May .2 during the Junior- Senior banquet and prom. Tropical Dream had an atmosphere of palm trees, a grass hut, a treasure chest, and even a little sand scattered here and there. The evening started young with the banquet. The waiters and waitresses wore bright summer clothes and grass skirts. Tammy Stevens sang Friends ac- companied on guitar by Mrs. Jane Wendell. The Senior prophecy and the ABC's were read. Later during the Prom the student body danced to the sounds of Shadow Fax under the yellow and green streamers. Following The Longest Yard , shown at the Preston theater, the students ended their '75 Prom night and bid Aloha. 30
