Mary Rich, Reed Hauck and Mark Odden helped them- selves to hamburgers at the Diver Day picnic. Have a cup of coffee with Sylvia and Marian. The evening of Sept. 26 started the 1974-75 Diver Day activities off with the crowning of Queen Kris Jensen and King Gary Ellingson reigning over the 2 days of activities. Following the coronation, the rally proceded down to the football field for the Burning of the H . After numerous pep talks, cheers, and band songs everyone returned to the school yard to enjoy the watermelon feed. Then the cheer- leaders led the mob downtown for the annual snake dance. Friday saw no floats as the Student Council vetoed the idea for something new and different. Classes were held in the park with the teachers serving the picnic. At 1:00 a Community Pep Fest was held on Main Street with each class doing a skit. Approaching the end of the night the Divers de- feated the Howard Tigers by a score of 36-0.
