“Colour My World” Theme Chosen By Junior Class LpHS juniors sold concessions at athletic events to finance this year's Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom. They chose the theme Colour My World and put in many hours of work in preparation. On the evening of May 4th, eager students crossed under the rainbow to enter into a brightly-streamered time of fun and excitement. The banquet, beginning at 6:30, was attended by juniors, seniors, class mothers and their husbands, and LPHS fac- ulty and staff. Waiters and waitresses, chosen from the freshman and sophomore classes, wore costumes of six foreign countries. The turkey dinner was preceeded by a prayer by Kristin Iseminger. Jean Vedvei gave a welcome from the junior class, responed to by the senior class president, Debi Holland. Mr. Holter sang Colour My World accompanied by Renit a Thomsen, flute, and Renee Thomas, piano. The Senior Prophecy and the ABC's were read. The dance, from 9-1, was held to the music of Burnam Wood. A silhouette, punch bowl in a yard setting and a large rainbow' over the entrance were some of the creative decorations set to a background of multi-color streamers. Following the dance, Billy Jack was shown at the Pres- ton Theatre. A breakfast for upperclassmen and their dates was held at the gym until 5 a. m. to close this never-to-be-forgotten event . . .
