FRONT ROW: Julianne Warren, Marie Salter, Margaret Svihel, Elaine Nelson, Janet Spring Concert Every day began with music for the fifty-five members of Hester, presented numbers in the fall Pops Concert and the April 16, theband received a good rating.Numbers performed and March Militaire. Most members played in the pep band outside reading were added to the band schedule. Officers and Librarians STANDING: Carol Nielsen (president), Julianne Larsen (vice-president). SEATED: Karen Johns- hoy (librarian), Maureen Warren (assistant librarian). Carol as president led the band organization. Julianne was the chairman of the music float which won most beautiful. The li- brarians worked to stamp, catalog, and file band music. They supervised the music library.

At the Large Groups Contest in Brookings, there were Themes From 'King of Kings' , Gallant Men , at football and basketball games. Themes and tests over Majorettes These majorettes performed with the band in homecoming parades in Lake Preston,DeSmet,and Aberdeen. STANDING: Deena Nvstrom, Kay Koch, Susan Shaw (drum majorette), Peggy Green, Marie Anderson. KNEELING: Sandra Bode (head majorette).
