Carolyn Strieker, Janice Thorsvold, Cheryl Hagen, Sally Green, Delaine Abel, Paul Nelson, Kenneth Olson, Paul Danielson, Danny Nelson, Allen Zeeck. BLUE AND GOLD DAY Blue and Gold Day activities for 1963 started with the coronation on Thursday night,September 19. Delaine Abel and Paul Nelson were crowned king and queen. Their attendants were as follows: Sally Green and Kenneth Olson, seniors; Cheryl Hagen and Paul Danielson juniors; Janice Thorsvold and Danny Nelson, sophomores; Carolyn Strieker and Allen Zeeck, freshmen. This was followed by a pep rally, bon- fire, snake dance, and a midnight movie to boost spirits for Friday night's game. On Friday afternoon the American Legion Color Guard followed by the band led the Blue and Gold Day parade. Floats winning honors were as follows: FHA float-most beautiful; FFA float-most humorous, and the NHS float-most original. On Friday night the Divers were defeated by Willow Lake by a score of 13-6. After the game the students enjoyed dancing to the music of Pat Boff- man. This ended the Blue and Gold Day festivities. 24
