HOMECOMING Homecoming is one of the big events in Lake Preston High. The festivities for 1962 started with the coronation. Joyce Albert and John Dean were crowned king and queen on Thursday night. Their attendents were as follows: Nola Jibben and Brent Gates, seniors; Leslie Anderson and Wayne Odegaard, juniors ; Janet Millett and Terry Danielson, sophomores; Sandra Bode and Alan Odden, freshmen. A pep rally, bonfire, snake dance, and midnight movie boosted the spirits for Friday night's game. The annual parade led by the American Legion Color Guard started Friday's excitement. The band led a parade of beautiful and unusual floats. The winning floats were as follows: sophomore class-most beautiful; junior class-most original; and FFA-most humorous. To make the 1962 homecoming a complete success the Divers defeated Elkton by a score of 20-19. After the football game Leo Fortin honored us with music for the homecoming dance.
