HOMECOMING ROYALTY The Homecoming festivities began on Thursday evening, October 15, with a pep fest and coronation at the high school gymnasium. Barbara Goodhope was crowned Homecoming Queen by Iylla Mae Jensen, Homecoming Queen of 19f 2. Bob Jensen was crowned Homecoming Marshall by Howard Barlow, Student Body Presi- dent. Attendents for the Queen were Shirley Jibben, Sharon Casper, and Lor- etta Jibben. Following the coronation ceremonies, students held a pep fe3t around a huge bonfire prepared by the freshmen class in the city park. A snake dance through the business district and a theater party climaxed the evening. A parade was presented by Lake Preston Schools and the Commercial Club to open Homecoming Day on Friday morning, October 16. Clear Lake was our overpowering football opponent in the afternoon. Approximately two hundred alumni, students, and friends attended the annual Homecoming banquet in the high school gymnasium served by members of the local Parent-Teacher-Association.
