(Carnival J oyalty The high school carnival was held in the gym November 9, and was a huge success. The gross intake was one of the largest in history as we took in $1106. Each of the classes chose candidates for the King and Queen of the carnival and sold tickets on various prizes. Arden Barlow and Lavonne Steenson were crowned King and Queen this year. Other candidates were Jean Rottum and Herbie Nelson, seniors; Beverly Olson and Howard Barlow, sophomores; Jacque Jen- sen and Darwin Holm, freshmen. Carolyn Nelson and Donald Hesby were crowned King and Queen of the grade school. 22

Homecoming activities started off this year with the usual Cor- nation on the night before Home- coming with Janice McNamara and Leroy Casper being named Queen Marshall. Other Candidates were Helen Severson, freshman; Irene Ryland, sophomore; Helen Hesby, junior. A bonfire, pep rally snake dance followed the Corna- tion. Friday, Oct. 12, started with a parade in the morning and football game with General Beadle in the afternoon and a banquet served to the high school and alumni in the evening.
