Coach Bill Tidmarsh. The 1951-52 edition of the Divers ended a highly success- ful season as they received consolation honors at the Region 3 tournament. When Coach Bill Tidmarsh, pilot of the Divers for the second year, issued his first call for practice he found that there were twenty out including four lettermen. The Divers went on to one of the most successful seasons in recent years as they chalked up a record of 23-5. They were champions of the East-Central Conference and received runnerup honors at the conference tourney. They went on to win the District 11 tournament held at Brookings. The Diver reserve squad was called on frequently and helped greatly to make it such a successful season. The B team was coached by John Lehr, assistant coach. Good sportsmanship and hearty supoort by the student body and the local fans encouraged the team on to victory.
