The Physical Education Class Is under the supervision of Miss Schlobohm, and lnoludes all Freshmen and Sophomore girls. They meet on Tuesday and Friday afternoons at 3:15. They play various games such as. Volley Ball, Basketball, and var- ious others. This teaches the girls to have coordination and Is a healthy aotlvlty. The F.H.A. Is a club In which all girls In High School who have taken Home Ec. can belong. They have regular meet- ings with officers, and at least two conventions yearly that they may attend. Back Row: S. Lehr, the Declam students worked very hard to represent Lake Preston Hierh School at the District Declam Contest. One winner is chosen from each group of contestants in the various divisions. Those winning the local contest to go to the District were: Dram- atics, Betty Kazmerzak, Poetry, Mima Kalvlg, Oratory, Keith Jensen, and Humorous, Ellen Galer. Betty won a Superior at the District to go on to the Regional where she received an excellent rating. Standing: L. KJellson, S. Pastlan, S. Jensen, W. Eldness, B. Olson, J. McNamara, Mr. Lehr. Sitting: D. Gerald, W. Kalvlg, K. Jensen, J. Rcttum, B. Williams. The Junior Play went over very well this year with a well supported cast of characters. The play was held on xTeoruary 21 under tne direction of J. Lehr with Janice McNamara and Barbara Olson as student directors. The play w s a three act comedy and was very much enjoved bv all who saw it. 29
