Svlhel. junior Sand Our High School Band has been Increasing the past few years. They have made several public appearances. On our Watermelon Day they gave two concerts and marched In the parade. Mr. Heldeprlem was director for the summer also. They also marched In the Hobo Day parade at Brookings, and Pow Wow Day at Huron and they played for the Junior Play. We think the band should De given credit for playing at all the basketball games through- out the year, as much effort was put forth on the part of Mr. Heldeprlem and the band members to do this. The twlrlers have been very active and have twirled at several home basketball games. Beverly McLain Is the Drum Majorette, although they all participate In the twirling. They are left to right: Darlene Field, Lavonne Steen- son, Beverly McLain, Jewel Larsen, and Helen McLain.
