Lefebvre Seniors: Tammy Fullerton, Kelly Sulerud, Kim The 1986-1987 Lake Park Volleyball team was one of the school's most successful in its history. The team finished 10 wins, 11 losses, 8a 1 tie on the year, with a 5 wins and 2 losses record in the Conference. This made them able to place 2nd in the Little Valley Conference. The season was hi-lighted by winning the Sub-District Championship. This year's team included three seniors, Tammy Fullerton, Kim Lefebvre, 8: Captain Kelly Sulerud. Kelly Sulerud led the team in kills, blocks, serving aces 8: spiking percentage. Kim Lefebvre Sz Sophomore Darcie Anderson led the team in set assists. Junior, Jen Foley, was the team leader in serv- ing percentage 8: scoring. Kelly Sulerud, Jen Foley, Sz Jody Haverkamp were named to the All-Conference team. Our losses were to Norman County West, Twin Valley, Audubon, Underwood, and Eagle Bend. Which made our season record 4 wins and 5 losses. ' Our captains this year included Kelly Myers, Jeff Korell, and Jeff Brown. Other seniors on the team were Vince Christensen, Brett Ebersole, Arlen Nelson, Greg Ness, and David Myhre. Lake Park members on the All Conference team were Jeff Korell, Jeff Brown, and Mike Johnson. Jeff Brown and Jeff Korell led the team in offensive stats like yards, rushing, where both were over 700 yards. Jeff Korell led in total defensive points, with 132, followed by Mike Johnson, with 85.5. Others doing well on defense were Jeff Brown, Brett Ebersole, Ken Wambach, Dan Conrad, JJ Ebersole, Vince Christenson, Greg Ness, and David Myhre. This year the Girls, Basketball Varsity Squad was coached by Ron Dreksel and the B-squad was coached by Charlie Anderson. The C-squad was coached by Mike Lindquist. With only one senior, which was Tammy Fuller- ton, the team finished their season with 4 wins and 16 losses. Although numerous injuries and illnesses slowed down the var- sities winning ways, much was leamed. Brett Eber- sole place 3rd at 138. While our 3-9 season record is an indication of our young squad we did have a number of tourna- ment champions: Brett Ebersole and Jeff Bates were Mahnomen Tournament cham- pions. JJ Ebersole won the Crookston Tour- nament and JJ and Jeff both won champion- ships in the Lake Park 'I ournament. Seniors Brett Ebersole and Jeff Bates end their six year wrestling careers with a number of records. Brett holds the career record for wins with 131 pins with 73.
