The Parkers took first place in the Agassiz Valley South Conference and third place in the overall Agassiz Valley Conference behind Norman County West Cwhich finished second in the statel and Twin Valley. In the section VI semi-finals Lake Park lost to Norman County West. Lake Park had three All Conference players: Don Jacobs, Jeff Korell, and Tony Korell. The starters included Jana Ode, Karn Asleson, Sherrie Bowers, Elizabeth Holen, and Jen Foley. Leaders for the season were Jana with 229 rebounds and Sherrie with 56 assists, 54 steals, and 213 points. The four seniors, Elizabeth, Karn, Sherrie, and J anals leadership will be greatly missed in all catagories. Look- ing ahead, sophomore Jen Foley will be good experience for the next year. The season ended with 12 wins and 8 losses. Our opponents shot 36'Vo from the field and averaged only 48.1 points per game. The team made it to the District Semi-finals. Individual highlights were Mike Nelson scoring 1,160 career points and setting a school record for most points in one game C40 points -vs.- Hillcrestj. Don Jacobs set schoolrecords for most assists in onelseason C1831 and most steals in a season 11065. Three players averaged double figures, Nelson, Jacobs, and Jeff Brown. Fun FirstAnnual Blue and White Week ' The Horizon Staff held its first Blue and White Week and it was a success. There was mass participation, including students, teachers, and administrators. This week activities included daily scavenger hunts, hall decorating, dress up days, CElementary, Beach, Movie Star, and Theme Dayj. There was also a most kissable lips contest, won by Barb Westlund and a Best Legs contest, won by Jeff Korell. The week concluded with a two hour competition pep rally won by the White Team. Contests included: Obstacle course, Refridgerator box, Bat, Blanket, Three Legged races, Team cheers, and an Air Band contest. .
