Fo reward FOREWORD 1961-62 has been a year of firsts, a year of New Frontiers far Lake Oavego High School -- New buildings and additions: a new gym, a new cafeteria,, a language lab, more scienc labs, more classrooms, a new library-- New teaching methods: team teaching in social studies, advanced placement English for seniors, a lab pro-'•am in biology, lab instruction in foreign language courses--- Sports firsts: L.O. 's first victorious homecoming game, a trophy for our rally at the TYV jamboree--Increased student awareness of the importance of government and international relations evidenced by accelerated Student government and foreign exchange programs. In this yearbook, the LAKERS' staff hopes to recapture for each one of you the high points of a truly momentous year. I
