ADAMS, THE FACULTY, AND THE PAR- ENTS feel that this year has been an extremely successful one for the P.T.A. The annual Back to School Night, was one of the highlights of the P.T.A.'s activities. During the year the many excellent class conferences helped to clear up some of the questions in the minds of the parents. Mr. Alford and the members of the executive board played a great role in making the 1957-58 year for the P.T.A. the best that has been known. THIS YEAR, AS OFTEN IN THE PAST, the Dads' club at Lake Oswego high school greatly benefited the school and community. The annual Scholar- ship Dance in December, a major Dads' club project, succeeded with a record turnout. The profits of this dance will be given in the form of scholarships to individual seniors in recogni- tion of their achievement in high school. HOWEVER, THE GREATEST PROJECT under- taken by the Dads' Club was the rebuilding of the football and track facilities. The new football and track field was made possible from the time, money and effort donated by the Dads' club and the community. Dads' Club Mr. Vincent Stageberg, Secretary, Mr. Bob Porter, Vice President, Mr. Jay Greene, President, Mr. Everett Sundholrn, Treasurer

They Administer our School District Mr. Lawrence D. Fish, Superintendent IN 1958 THE LAKE OSWEGO SCHOOL BOARD has been very busy with the many and divers problems which face a growing school district. Under the very capable leadership of Dr. George Lyman, the School Board has done an excellent job in solving or alleviating these problems. ONE OF THE BIGGEST ANNUAL JOBS of the School Board is the formation of district's policy and the construction of a workable budget for the year. Working with a specially formed citizens' committee, the board planned the expansion pro- gram for the area through 1960. Immediate plans call for the building of an elementary school in the Palisades area, the completion of Lake Oswego junior high school, and the addition of expanded shop facilities to the high school. Board of Directors Mr. Lawrence Perkins, Asst. Superintendent MR. LAWRENCE D. FISH is an man with a great deal of experience qualifying him-for his appoint- ment as Superintendentthis past year. His previ- ous experience in the Oswego school system con- sisted of being Director of Curriculum since 1955. He received his Bachelor's Degree at Bethany Peniel College, and his Master's Degree at UCLA. He is now working for his Ph.D. at Washington State College. He is present at all School Board meetings and attends to the multitude of details that are essential for the functioning of a rapidly growing school district such as ours. MR. LAWRENCE PERKINS, formerly the popu- lar principal of Lake Grove elementary school, now offers his assistance in carrying out the re- sponsibilities placed before Mr. Fish. Mr. Perkins graduated from the Eastern Washington College of Education and received his Master's Degree from the Oregon College of Education.
