fi fi N 4-'E -Q, DEDICATION To the seniors of the class of 1955 this fourth edition of The Lakers Log is dedicated The first class to have attended Lake Oswego High School from the ninth grade throughout the 12th it is the schools first class of true Lakers No past experiences ir other high schools have divided the loyalties and diminished the spirit of this class. lts morale has been excellent. For this reason We have chosen the symbol of the pure-bred horse, a blue-ribbon win- ner, to represent our '55 graduates. The name, Golden Daze has been bestowed on this fine equine specimen to signify the nostalgia that invariably accompanies memories of high school and especially memories ot this year, 1955,

DADS CLUB Under the leadershxp of 1ts pres1dent Zenas Mur phy the Dads Club devoted another year to the servmce of the Laker students The rnost outstandmg achlevement of the year was the Scholarsh1p Dance wh1ch was held at the Oswego Lake Country Club As a result four schol arshxos were awarded to senlors Th1s year the Dads held the1r lust Dads Son and Daughter Banquet They hope to cont1nue thls actx v1ty 1n future years The new tenn1s courts whlch were tlnanced by the Dads Club were also completed durlng the school year lncreasmg the1r mernbershxb was one ot 1ts chlel concerns so that 1t w1ll have a strong organ1zat1on to contmue m the future The bu1ld1ng of the tenn1s courts a prolect planned and pa1d for by the Dads Club was watched Wlth lntense eagerness by all racquet lovmg Lakers They were completed and ready for use early 1n Aprxl and no t1rne was lost by students and the -.-- people of the comrnunlty ln 1n1t1at1ng them It IS the pohcy of the school to keep these courts open to the publlc all year round
