DEDICATION We, the students of Lake Oswego High School, in dedicating the 1952-53 Lakers' Log, would like to express our sincere thanks to the group which has done so much for us here at school and in our homes toward promoting school spirit. We know of the untiring efforts of the members to give us a beautiful, well-lighted football field. To finance these lights, they sponsored two carnivals, called “Lakers’ Lite Nites,” each of which was very successful. After the installation of the lights came the setting up and painting of the bleachers, which will seat 1250 persons. Although only the previously mentioned projects are apparent to someone outside the community, we students know that without the help we have received behind the scenes, this school year would not be the success that it has been. Again we wish to say how much we appreciate the Dads’ Club of Lake Oswego. Thanks, Dads! PRESENTATION OF PURCHASE OF FOOTBALL LAKERS’ LITE NITES SCHOLARSHIPS BLANKETS

FOREWORD As you turn the pages of this book you will see pictures of classes, clubs, assemblies, sports, and many other activities. They are more than photographs, however; they are visible memories of a very important part of your life. It takes many years to complete a lifetime and these are the formative years which will determine to a large extent the kind of adult you will eventually become. Students who feel and express a great deal of school spirit become constructively active adults and, because we feel it is such an important phase of our school life, we have made school spirit the theme of this year’s book. We wish to draw your attention to its value and its exemplification. Having just completed our second year, we are proud of our accomplishments; let us continue to strengthen our unity and loyalty to Lake Oswego High School. 3
