Playing To Win Winning is habit-forming! The Girls Junior Varsity Softball team started off the season with a 19-3 victory over Herndon, and they continued to habitually conquer their opponents each game, finishing the spring with a record of seven wins, three losses. That was an impressive record for our team, but there was more to it than just those bare statistics. Almost always, they defeated the opposing teams by a large margin, and when they lost, it was usually a close game. The nineteen members, coached by Sally Newton, became a close-knit team, and learned to strengthen their plays through working together. Swiftly pitching, Sue strike.
