The 7th and 8th grade Stu¬ dent Governments pur¬ pose is to encourage help, enrich respect, and promote the general wel¬ fare of their student body and staff; To hear all stu¬ dent and staff sugges¬ tions: To elect and sup¬ port chosen officers and to improve school spirit throughout the year. Junior Varsity Cheerleaders The Junior Varsity Cheer¬ leaders are sponsored by Mrs. Pat Houlihan. Their captain is Renee Carpenter and their co¬ captain is Sue Hyer. They sup¬ port the athletic events by promoting school spirit. They decorate the halls for special functions and they decorate the team lockers. The cheer¬ leaders attended an NCA clinic for four days at Head College where they received five blue ribbons and the traditional spirit stick and were the only squad on the J.V. level to make run ups for the Coca Cola Award.
