A new procedure was brought into our daily schedule this year the concept of T.A. (teach¬ er advisor). Each morning every student in the school meets with his teacher advisor for a period of fifteen minutes. The session begins at 8:15 and ends at 8:30, whereupon the stu¬ dents have five minutes to get to first period. The groups consist of approximately eighteen students and their T.A. In the beginning of the year we were permitted to “check-in” to our T.A. so that he could give us any bulletins that were to be taken home, to give us report cards, and interims and to sim¬ ply let our T.A. know we were alive, breathing, and doin’ okay. George Allen and Glen Gannon in Mr. Mayo ' s social study class. Remember the philosophy, “You’re responsi¬ ble for your own actions!”? Well, I guess we were. The happy news soon arrived that T.A. was mandatory. Some responses to T.A. this year have been; “It’s okay. It shouldn’t be mandatory. We should only have to report once or twice a week. I think we should be able to change T.A. every nine weeks.” Wynne Hamilton “I don’t think it is necessary, but I don’t mind it.” Marianne Ford “It’s okay. Just as long as you’ve got a good T.A. like I do.” Louise Evans 198 student life Jim Galvin sanding his mask for a string boat.
