Considered a great factor in the development of student government, it provides a medium for the expression of student opinion and fosters im- provements in the school. Members of the council are working to increase the opportunities for fellowship between students and members of the faculty. Although still in its infancy, the Student Council has concluded numerous projects to prove its worth to students and faculty alike. The Christmas Fund, sponsored this year by the Council, was a huge success when the pupils contributed generously. One hundred dollars was given each of the following: The Caney Creek Scholarship Fund, The Buffalo Evening News Camp Fund, and the Courier Express Crippled Children's Fund. And again, with the enthusiasm displayed for the Variety Show, the Council was able to build up a record library for the proposed plan to provide music in the cafeteria. May the passing years see the fulfillment of improvements desired by both students and faculty, through their Student Council. l8
