MIKE JONES GARY LARSON BARRY KOYAMA BUCK LACEY Beauchamp Catches Pagenkopfs Pass Against Encina TED LEWIS L.S. 1$ Encina 8 La Sierra’s second homecoming game was a great suc- cess. The Longhorns won this game, utilizing the great fire-power of Ron Pagenkopfs arm. He passed to Brown, Beauchamp, and Bockovcn all through the night. Brown scored the first touchdown on a 70 yard pass play which brought the rooters to their feet, cheering. When the con- test was over, the Longhorn’s possessed their first win for the season.

The Longhorns showed their usual great de- fense, but couldn’t seem to get an effective offense going until the last quarter, only to have their last ditch touch- down attempt fall short. Beauchamp Catches a Pass For The First Down L.S. 14 El Dorado 6 The boys from El Dorado came down planning to upset the Longhorns, but they failed thanks to the talents of some great ball players. Lombardo and Bockoven reeled off much yardage during the night and even Pagenkopf tried some footwork, gaining quite a few yards much to his own sur- prise.
