Directed iudiciously by Daniel Richards, co-ordinator, The P.R. faculty opened new horizons for members by an expansion of standard courses and The addition of such enrich- ing COUVSSS as life science and creative writing. Ac- ceptance into The program brought students accel erated study and extensive research AT intervals Throughout The year They also listened To an enrich ment lecture series given by experts in The many sublect areas These students representing TO per cent of The sTudenT body forged rapidly ahead To high achievement in both academic and leadership spheres Moving swiftly ahead Through many d1TTi cult assignments PR members found IT possible To fulfill Their greatest capacities and still enloy Themselves With The semesters end came awards To The Top Three students in each sublect Honored for Their hard work and enthusiasm which They unsTinT ingly gave They were encouraged To even greater effort Their social activities began ID The Tall with a get acquainted picnic and continued with an Easter vacation Trip To Death Valley Tor The Soph omores Such varied events brought These sTudenTs Together Thus creating a feeling of unity Puente Recommended Program Stnvecl INQUISITIVE PR chemistry students Cliff Russell Bronwyn Williams and Emily Nelson eased their curiosity and practiced their book knowledge through PAUSING for a moment of relaxation Sophomore PR stu guided experiments in class sessions dents Terry Dust and Virginia Deem explored some nearby camp surroundings 'Jo- i 4.
