' Laughing and cheering, the student body was besieged with many activities. Dances were better than ever. How could any of us ever forget that Friday night in November when Lori Mortley was crowned Miss La Palma? The Christmas Dance was a dressy and festive affair that was enjoyed by everyone who attended. As usual, the eighth grade class managed to turn an otherwise uneventful Friday night into a gala occasion when they sponsored the annual Sadie Hawkins Dance. In addition to dances, the glee clubs performed throughout the year, winning many awards and trophies. The band, resplendent intheir new uniforms, also won many awards. The TORCH staff reported all these events to the student body exceptionally well. A colorful yearbook was put out by the yearbook staff to attemptto capture the excitement and memories. 52fActivities v
