Most of the new members are just out of college, and we see very few grey hairs in the new crop. Nl think the students are terrific, says Mrs. Jones, who replaced Barbara Grant as Upper School Secretary. Other new members include Tom Perrotti and Barry Fogwell in the Science department, Ted Hodgson in Math, Bill Wright in Math and History, Louis Cornelia, filling in for vacationing Senora McCuen, Susan Middleton, the Upper School Librarian, and Shanda Shipman, Mrs. Cox's new secretary. The new and experienced faculty were given the respect and admiration they deserve during Faculty Appreciation Week, a time for students to let the teachers and staff know just how much they mean. On Monday, the sopho- mores decorated their lounge and presented the faculty with invitations to the luncheon on Friday. 'tlt was fun! laughs Jocelyn Belice. 'lWe kind of raided their refrigerator. They had some good stuff in there! On Tuesday, the juniors gave out carnations to each faculty member, and Wednesday brought breakfast and thank you cards from the freshman class. The seniors treated them to ice cream sundaes and apples on Thursday. The big event of the week was the luncheon on Friday in which everyone participated. Students and teachers gorged down food as the junior class treated the Upper School to a raffle, led by Larry Hovey and Jim Eshom. With new faces, new courses, and new and different perspectives, the Upper School experienced an exciting year. Madonna made an appearance an Celebrity Day during Spirit Week. She has an uncanny V resemblance to Mr Wright, don't you think? . if
