Thirty-second drills, full court presses, and three-man weaves are all part ofthe rigorous practices designed by Coach Cahoone and Coach Sullivan for the Varsity and Junior Varsity squads. The long hours put in by the players paid off in their fine performances this year. Junior Varsity was very impressive, George Kutchins, and Dan Draz are strong Varsity potentials for next year. The starting five of the Varsity squad is made up of seasoned Country Day veterans: Steve Baak, Erik Hjermstad, Kevin Reed, Mike Drogin, and Ron Keller, with Byron Kim as number one alternate. Unfortunately, the Varsity team was plagued with injuries this year. At least one starter missed a game be- cause of injuries and at one time the Torres were short two starters for three games. Considering their position, Var- sity played commendably. The high- lights ofthe season were the league en- counters against Francis Parker and Army-Navy, in which the closing sec- onds determined the outcome. ' 1 Boona Cahoona -SFU!
