Mr. ':Buck Jones Young and Tom Mix Pyuen exhibit their riding abi- lity in the donkey race. MAY Ben Panis while practicing high jumping invents the nut's roll ? Konawaena places second in the Star Bulletin Oratorical Contest. Kiyoko, Emiko and Miss Sada- yasu leave for Terr. F.H.H. con- ference. Mrs. Clashman substi- tutes for Miss Sadayasu. Chorus and orchestra classes put on program in observation of music week. Tickets for the P.T.A. play are distributed to the annual staff members for sale. Seniors present a brilliant at- mosphere as boys wear ties and M. O. has a new permanent Waikiki wave. Fifty-eight students place on honor roll for first semester. Mr. Young's 7-4 class presents musical program. Seniors defeat Juniors in a closely contested inter-class basketball game. U. of H. entrance examinations taken by 30 seniors. Jr. G.R. social. Seniors over- whelm Sophs Students take hearing tests. Senate meets, revival of court system is discussed. H. banquet is held at the school cafeteria. G R's entertain mainland G. R. Declamation contest is held. JULY Big Isle G. R. confab opens at camp Keauhou. Sophomore dance is given, car- ried out in Japanese atmos- sphere. G. R.'s receive rings at impres- sive ceremonial. Sixteen girls are honored. Assembly program given by 11- 7 homeroom. Annual operetta sponsored with big success. Juniors honor seniors with an- nual prom. Large crowd attends. AUGUST Seniors dance their last mile before leaving the Alma Mater. Seniors are given official re- lease as diplomas are handed out. Freshman class enjoys big kaukau to celebrate their gra- duation. A luau with much salmon and pig keeps the seniors busy eat- ing. Twenty years from now-'???? Tree planting and class day cli- maxes the activities of the se- niors. Curtain falls on school activi- ties.
