BASEBALL BIG ISLAND JUNIOR INTERSCHOLASTIC CHAMPIONS fCoach-Mr, A. C. Youngl Over 40 diamonders reported to the opening practice held in the early part of March. Out of this large turnout, 18 played part of the games for the Wildcat team. With probably all the first stringers as well as substitutes returning next year, the Wildcat team is expected to win another title. Through Coach Young's fine coaching, the Konawaena nine easily walked off with the Junskol title. 1939

TRACK JUNIOR INTERSCHOLASTIC CONTEST CCoach-Minoru Inabaj Over 40 enthusiastic tracksters answered when coach Minoru Inaba issued the first practice. Although they failed to capture the Junskol Championship by a Whisker, the Wildcat cinderpathers made a good show- ing by grabbing the second place honor. With a majority returning, the Wildcat cinderpathers are expected to be a dangerous team to watch next year. Much credit must go to Mr. Inaba for his great effort given in deve- loping a strong outfit. ATHLETES Sprinters: George Ushiroda, Julian Delos Reyes, Masao Hada, Nao- ji Yamagata, George Sasaki, Ben Panis, Ralph Fukumitsu, and Joe Gaa. Pole Vaulters: Yoji Hirokawa, Manuel Lehua, Kongo Kimura, and Susumu Tachibana. Discus and shot-putters: Richard Chai, Harry Haanio, Thomas Springer, Herbert Ako, and Mitsuo Yamamoto. Broad jumpers: Humiyuki Kiyota, and Yasuto Saito. KN?
