Along with all their annual duties, however, they found time for other projects too. Six of our members took part in a skit given at the Jabberwack. Although we didn't win any money we had a lot of fun. One of the highlights of the busy year was in October when fourteen mem- bers went to the lowo High School Press Association Convention at Iowa State College in Ames. At Thanksgiving and Christmas the girls brought food and prepared baskets for needy families. On March 7 and 8 Ruth Dietrick and De- lores Pope attended the F.H.A. Leadership Conference in Des Moines as representatives from Knoxville. Some of these are a Concert which was presented in the l-ligh School Auditorium March l-4, a prcgram at the Veterans Hospital, and many parties and banquets. The first semester they presented WORDS AND MUSIC and also wcrked w:th the speech department cn the Christmas Pageant. Miss Coats has done a swell job second semester crganizing small grcuos and soloists to participate at ccntest which was held at Corydon March 28 and 29. The Mixed Chorus and Culee Club participated at a large group contest held at West Des Moines May 3.
