Fulton, B. olton. 32 STUDENT COUNCIL I Student Council made its de- but this year and at last is a power-no longer a name. Its first project has heen to sched- ule social activities for all classes on the school calendar. A com- plete report will soon be made to the student hody on the Council's plan for a democratic student government. Officers elected hy the student body are: VVilliam Brewer, President: Shir- ley Hewlett, Vice Presidentg Richard Fulton, Secretary, and Dorothea Sutter, Treasurer. Faculty representatives are Mr. VViese, Mr. Tiel and Miss VVil- cox. NEWSPAPER CLUB I The husy members of the Newspaper Cluh manage to turn out 'KKnox Knewsh at regular intervals, and have even found time to raise funds for a mimeo- scope as well as the Polio Fund. Officers are: Malcolm llill, President, Dan Coffey, lfditorg Francis Dean, Secretaryg Dennis Hull, Business Manager, and Miss Clark, advisor. The increased membership of the club this year made it nec- essary to divide into two sec- tions. SCIENCE CLUB O Sixteen club members under the leadership of Mr. Schwartz experimented with electric mo- tors and electromagnets this year. Field trips offered fun and new learning experiences, when members took to the young mountain behind the school and collected specimens for class discussion.
