Mr. 8: Miss KFHS joe Chorley, elected as Mr. KFHS for 1984, has participated in many extracurricular activities during his four-year high school career. As captain of the varsity swim team, he was a state qualifier. In addition, he was a member of the student coucil for four years. During his junior year, he was chosen as the president of the Texas Association of Student Councils. As a member of the Good Sportsmanship League he promoted good feelings and unity in sports with rival high schools in the area. ln addition, Ioe was chosen to serve on a question-and-answer session with President Ronald Reagan. Ioe ranked in the top 20 nationally for swimming in the 4 X 100-yard free-style relay. Not only was he voted as Mr. KFHS, but joe also received the honor of being Most' Likely to Succeed . The Texas State Board of Education awarded Ioe with the leadership award. joe was actively involved outside of school, also. He participated in the March of Dimes, Toys for Tots Program, and the summer swim league. In addition, he spoke to various student-related groups across the state. After graduating eleventh in a class of 617,1oe plans to attend the University of Texas and major in chemical engin- eering. Eventually I want to attend law school, stated the ambitious Chorley.
