an -...f ,f.L., W Helping people, relieving pain, and learning new ways to do both are exciting and this is how our club spends its time. This comment by senior, Allison Hunter, sums up the year's activities for the Medical Careers Club. Club members participated in various outings and events which were engineered to increase their un- derstanding of health related fields. On the agenda this year were trips to the University of Texas at Austin Dental School, the Houston Northwest Medical Center's annual Career Day, and the opportunity to view surgery. The annual blood drive is always a time of apprehension and worry for students and administrators. It is through the help of the club that this l 423 event repeatedly has occured with little or no problem. The safety and comfort of each donor is safeguarded through the efforts of the club members. A C.P.R. course during the year allowed club members to enhance their skills at life-saving and to explore yet another aspect of the health industry. While the club is not a large one it is an active group of students who share an interestin serving their peers and society through their careers.
