The two squads not only helped arouse and promote fan spirit but they also supported the Eagles all year. Support is important to the teams, so we do our best to let them know we're behind them all the time, said sophomore Keri Fisher. The girls practice and prepare for games and pep rallies every day during sixth period in the commons with their sponsors, Janice Albe and Dianna Landry. f ASQ' M if f. 1 163 cm It felt so good to promote spirit. It's hard to even describe the feeling you get when the crowd starts to cheer along with you , said senior Martha Angelo. Encouraging spirit in many ways, the varsity cheerleaders led cheers and chants during pep rallies and all varsity sports events. The eight members attended two major competitions, one in November held at South West Texas State University in San Marcos. The other took place in December at Sharpstown High School. Cheerleading practice, led by sponsor Tammy Daniel, was held every day in the commons area. Cl! Eston Burciaga peps up the crowd during a football game.
