Who provides back-up music for choir concerts and for drama productions? The one and only orchestra conducted by Liz Picone. The orchestra also spreads K.F.'s good name by attending UIL competition, performing concerts, and coordinating special programs. University Interscholastic League competition took place in Aleif High School's auditorium during February and March. The members also attended a Spring Tril in April. The orchestra met every day during fifth period in the orchestra room to practice. ORGANIZATIONS 235

t t ,numwaref nwnfezegwzzzy Waving the Eagles to victory was the 1983-84 flag and rifle corps. Members practiced every day beginning in August, continuing all through the football season. They worked together to coordinate routines to perform along side the band during football games. On November 5, at Alief Elisk Stadium, the Golden Eagle marching band along with the flag and rifle corps received a first division rating at the U.I.L. marching contest. Under the direction of Ieff Metcalfe, the flag and rifle corps added color and variety to the halftime shows. WW- af ,,.ff,5 1 czm 236 ORGANIZATIONS
